Section_00 // About
This site is the digital home of James Turner II — solutions architect, IT engineer, technical project manager, and United States Marine Corps veteran. It brings together the threads of a career spent turning business needs into working technology: Guidon Talent Partners, his IT and software development consultancy; a portfolio of hand-built web projects; and a record of technology and volunteer leadership across veterans' causes and community organizations.
The site is for hiring managers and clients who want a fast, honest picture of how James designs and delivers solutions; for organizations that need a technical partner for IT, web, or AI projects; and for anyone who has met James in person and scanned the QR code on his digital business card. Every section is written to be read in a minute or two on a phone, because that is where first meetings happen.
James builds and maintains the site himself — the layout, the projects section, and the shareable business card are all hand-coded in React. The same approach that drives his solutions architecture work shows up here: understand the problem, ship something clean, useful, and fast, then keep improving it. If you would like to talk about a technology project, a consulting engagement, or a role, the contact section below is the fastest way to reach him.
A note on the name: you may see both James Turner and James Turner II around the web. Same person, same mission — the "II" is in reverence as the grandchild for who he was named, along with his uncle of the same name, now both deceased.
